“ Interior has a modern authentic Chinese decor and feel. Food was satisfying. Pork was really crispy alhough the meat was thin, I wish the meat is a little thicker. Nonetheless it was still palatable, but will not order again if I go back. My favorites from today's order were the sauteed eggplant and the fish fillet which were both succulent. Something I would order again or maybe even dream of tonight. ”
“ Great Chinese restaurant on the UWS/Morningside Heights. It's a popular Columbia haunt but the vibes are very zen if you dine in. The menu is a bit more upscale. The Creamy Prawns with Walnuts is outstanding. ”
“ Food was authentic enough, and they have a separate "American " menu that cracks me up, we'll definitely come back for the eggplant and steamed fish, which were really very good. It's pricier than Flushing, but it's in my neighborhood, and we don't have to trek to Queens now. ”
“ Pretty decent Chinese restaurant. We ordered a bunch of food, because we had a big group. I especially enjoyed the fried rice and spicy short ribs. Service was fast and ambiance was very casual! ”

“ Great spot for some authentic Chinese food! We went for a Saturday dinner and it was pretty empty. Must be because it's very uptown but I'd go out of my way to come here again. We got the walnut prawns, yang chow fried rice and the chicken soup. The prawns were big and perfectly sweet and crispy. The fried rice really hit the spot and was well balanced. The soup was just ok though. There wasn't that depth of flavor that I was looking for. The ambiance is also super cute so it's good for a nice dinner. ”
“ In my mind, Atlas Kitchen can do no wrong. I've been here 4 times and left very happy (and full) every time. The interior is clean and relatively spacious. Prices are very fair too! Some of my menu standouts: Crispy Whole Fish w/ Green Pepper: A must-order for me. The fish is very flavorful throughout and the meat inside is so tender. Yum! Sautéed Sliced Beef w/ Cilantro: This dish has been served to me hot and cold. When it's cold, its incredible- so refreshing and light! Sautéed Eggplant w/ Salted Egg Yolk: Incredible and so flavorful!! The savory egg yolk paired with the soft eggplant... Wow.. Braised Fish Fillet w/ Chinese Sauerkraut: Great for sharing and the tart flavor really comes out! This was a bit spicier than I expected but tolerable. ”
“ My expectations for dining options on the UWS are exceedingly low, but I was going to be in the area, and Atlas Kitchen seemed like one of the potentially less disappointing places to meet a friend for dinner. We started with the dried tofu salad and wood ear mushrooms ("mu-er"). These were both excellent. Marinated wood ear mushrooms are one of my all-time favorite dishes, and the version here was fragrant, lightly spicy, and an all around excellent start to the meal. For a main course I was in the mood for something hearty and opted for the staple mapo tofu. It ended up being a bit too greasy for my taste, but it was not bad. ”
“ I've passed by this place a few times and noticed it always looks busy but haven't had the chance to try it. Brought my parents here as their first dining experience in this neighborhood. The inside is nicely decorated and looks pretty. We were told to wait inside when we came in. We looked at the menu for about 10 mins then I asked the servers how long and they said 10 mins. It was about accurate. 3/5 Scallion pancakes - crispy. Not the best ones I've had but still good 4.5/5 Sauteed potato, bell pepper and eggplant - my mom really enjoyed this dish and complimented how good the texture of the eggplant and potatoes were. Nothing was overcooked and had the right amount of bite. 4.5/5 Mapo tofu - yum! So flavorful. This was a joy to eat. 3/5 Fish fillet in chili oil - pretty good. The soup was flavorful but very spicy. My dad and I tolerate a good amount of spice but this was too much. I mainly deducted stars for the spice level and for how oily the broth is. The servers were nice and helpful. I found a little strand of black hair (not my hair color) in my rice and he immediately swapped it out without saying much. We took our time eating and no one rushed us. I will say it gets pretty loud in here and the tables are rather close together so its not the best place to have a lot of conversation. A nice setting to eat with friends though. I noticed a lot of young people here in groups. Would return with a group of friends. ”
